Blouse or Bust…

I’m a fan of the blouse. The right material, shape, neckline, color & it has officially become my favorite top. Yup. A great blouse can do so much. It can be worn to work with those fabulous dress pants. It can be tucked in for a more tailored look. It can be worn with several necklaces. It can be worn under a blazer or cardigan. It can be dressed down with a pair of skinny jeans & flats, or distressed jeans & boots. There is an endless supply of potential for the blouse. And let’s face it, we love that about a piece of clothing. Anything that can be worn with everything, is a must have!¬†

Blue blouse…

Lovely. Another great example of a menswear inspired top (like the ones shown yesterday). However, this one brings in feminine with its neckline & silk material. Flowy=feminine. It’s such a fabulous blue hue. It would look great with black, gray, olive, khaki, white, or brown–on the bottom. If you have a set of baby blues–all the more reason to track down this shirt!

Yellow blouse…

There is such a thing as a more casual blouse. This is one of them. It can still certainly be worn with dress pants, but it would look best by itself with jeans, and a wedge shoe. No layers necessary for this one. The cuff sleeves, pockets & neckline are perfect enough to easily stand alone. Maybe just a simple necklace, earrings & bracelet.

Green blouse…

Another fantastic blouse. This style is a fantastic change of pace. No buttons needed, but still a fantastic neckline, great cuffed sleeves, & an even better color! I love this shade of green! ¬†This blouse (maybe it’s the lack of conservative buttons) feels a bit more dressy or night out appropriate. Gorgeous.
